Gabelsberg was established on the high ground above Vazon Bay at Saint Germain, and fell under the control of 2/ 262. Because of its location it could also engage targets landing at Vazon or crossing La Grande Mare. Post-war quarrying destroyed much of the site, yet the command sector remains, which itself was recently sold for redevelopment and is no longer accessible. A very rare L414a bunker survives, which unlike its counterpart at Wn. Perleberg, mounted 2cm Flak to cover the marshland south-west of the site.
