Overview
Completed as one of the several inland batteries above Vazon Bay, Barbara was one of the earliest artillery positions completed by German forces. It comprised a significant amount of Vf works and an extensive trench system. The emplacements completed were to the same type as the operational emplacements at Batterie Moltke in Jersey. Post war the substantial positions and trench systems were back filled, and little remains visible.
