Battery Barbara is located at Rue a Fresnes and was part of the German Batteries designed to defend the West Coast from allied landings. All features on this site are built to Reinforced Field Order. The battery was manned by 10./HKAR. 1265. The 4 large 15.5cm emplacements are largely buried and inaccessible to the public. The location of the emplacements is visible from air and roadside as large clumps of undergrowth and crop marks. The largest portion of accessible defence is the Command Post and the shelter opposite.
