With a commanding view over Vazon, the Lux batterie was an impressive addition to the collection of inland batteries guarding the West Coast. It was designed in such a way that it could adapt over the course of a battle, with the guns being wheeled out of the casemates if necessary into a adjacent fields for a better field of fire.
Following liberation, the site was developed and the bunkers somewhat obscured. All four survive in varying conditions, with most of the covered trench still walk-able.
