Batterie Steinbruch was a large battery that comprised of 4 15cm SKC28 Naval Guns, and the corrosponding support bunkers, which contained notably a large Type M132 Leitstand and several Flak Emplacments. The battery was located at Les Vardes, St Sampson. The battery closely resembles Battery Annes of Alderney. Steinbruch is almost completely destroyed by quarrying. The only visible remaining structures that are accesible to the public are two stone crushers, RFO Flak Emplacment and a 2cm Flak Tower built to Fortress Standard.

This large naval type bunker that operated as an ammunition depot features two rooms for cartridges, one room for shells, four rooms for light ammunition and a room for fuses. It has two entrances along one wall. This example is closed now, but the exterior demonstrates its size.
This is a large bunker.
From the other side.
First entrance.
And second. Both are closed but it is supposedly well-preserved.
Second entrance again.
Multiple of this type were built at Steinbruch, two survive. One is located on the far side of the quarry, in a garden. The other mounts telephone masts and sits right on the edge. This is easy to visit but is closed.
This naval type bunker for 2cm flak was fairly common.
It has a different emplacement to usual, more resembling that of the Fl242s at Mirus.
And on top.
The largest visible remains of the battery, one of the enormous stonecrushers.
A rare M131 generator bunker lies on private property.
This is where the battery sat.
