Overview
Albert Pier resistance nest is similar to that of Victoria Pier, and was positioned to defend the inner harbour and entrance. Two large works still survive on site, a Vf1a personnel shelter and an unknown type of Tobruk.
Purpose
Prevent vessels from entering the harbour entrance and to resist troops approaching from the landward side.
