Croix du Bois Resistance Nest

Overview

Located at Croix du Bois, this resistance nest comprised various small positions and shelters connected with fieldworks. It largely survives intact but lies on private property. All structures were built to Vf or field order.

Purpose

Defend against paratroopers landing in this area in conjunction with neighbouring resistance nests. On commander order the troops could either be deployed as assault detachments or support forces for separate resistance nests.
