Overview
This unique resistance nest was located at the roundabout, at the former White Hart. It featured a 4.7cm Pak casemate integrated into the wall of the building, this having been removed now. The entire site has been obliterated by post-war development.
Purpose
Prevent any attempt by the enemy to land at North Beach, or the northern flank of the main harbour. Focus defensive effort on the entrance to the harbour.
