Overview
This was one of several similar, lightly armed resistance nests. This one was positioned to defend Fermain Bay and nearby fishing harbour. A Tobruk pit survives beneath the footpath.
Purpose
Prevent enemy landings through blockade of Fermain Bay and fishing harbour south of Calais. Defense in conjunction with neighboring site at Fermain Bay. A local armored reserve was available on request for this resistance nest.
