Construction was completed in 1942 and was part of 11 planned towers, however only 5 were completed due to flaws with the designs. The tower has 5 floors, and walls of 2 meters thick. Observation and range finding could be conducted through the slits in the front of the tower, which could be sealed when not in use. Mounted on the roof of the tower would have been a large Freya Radar installation. All that remains now of this radar is a small concrete circle. The bunker is open and accessible with ease, unfortunately it is in an awful state and no significant effort has been made to preserve the tower, this is because of ownership uncertainty.
MP4, presumably in the years following the war due to the lack of the Freya Radar.
The white paint on the lower floors remains from its use as a maritime beacon.
It is still an impressive sight.
The top floor plate is covered in graffiti.
The only way to the roof.
Lowest Floor.
Command bunker in the distance.
