Noted on German construction maps from the early years of the occupation, was an observation position 'P4' constructed within the perimeter of the planned Marinebatterie 2 at Pleinmont, later HKB Pleinmont and then HKB Generaloberst Dollmann. It was a substantial construction built within the walls of the former watch-house, and camouflaged as such. It acted as the early Leitstand for the adjacent batterie of 22cm French guns, prior to the construction of the M132 bunker that took over the role of battery command and rangefinding in 1942. P4 was then subsequently demolished by German forces in the same year.
