Overview
Wn. Dohlenturm is found on the heavily fortified L'Ancresse headland. The Resistance Nest was designed to prevent enemy coastal landings across Pembroke Bay in conjunction with Wn. Golfwerk and Wn Dohlenfels The fortifications comprise a 4.7cm Pak K36(t) casemate accessed via an extended passage with water supply, as well as a personnel bunker a short distance away. The site was complimented by fieldwork and machine gun positions. The early casemate for 4.7cm Pak K36(t) is still visible a short distance away from the final construction. The large anti-tank gun casemate is cared for by Festung Guernsey. The personnel bunker was excavated and recorded and can be viewed here.
