Overview
Kaiserhof was located near the Imperial Hotel, and placed to defend the area between the resistance nests at Fort Grey and Lower Pleinmont (Westberg). Its main armament was a 10.5cm K331(f) casemated gun pointing north over Rocquaine. It was housed in a type 670, of which a photo exists of its construction. Several smaller positions were completed around the site, very few of which being visible. Today the 670 lies below the bus stop and is a waste collection point. Its sealed embrasure is visible on the beach.
Purpose
Prevent landing attempts of Rocquaine Bay in conjunction with Grauer Turm and Unterwestberg. Blockade roads and hollows leading to the interior of the island. Defend until last man. Main line of resistance is high-tide mark.
