Kraehennest Strongpoint
Stp. Kraehnnest is located at Chouet Headland, Vale. It was designed to defend against coastal landings between Stp. Grossfels and Stp. Marschen. Exessive quarrying in the area has destroyed much of the fortifications here, including the impressive MP1 Naval Direction and Rangefinding Tower, which fell into the quarry in 1991. A new quarry that is being planned by Ronez may see the potential destruction of several sites. The sites that may be lost are the M19 Automatic Mortar in the 633, Ho.31 and a few smaller positions.
