Ho. Lower Lines - Personnel Shelter

Ho. Lower Lines is located at Fort George, St Peter Port and was designed to provide emergency shelter during bombing raids on the radar installations at Anderschloss, a frequent event prior to D-Day. The tunnel has 4x 1 metre wide entrances linked by three substantial chambers. These chambers contained iron bunks to accommodate 138 persons. Work was almost completed, all concrete lined except one galley which would have led into Fort George if completed. There is no public access as it is all on private land,
