Sperber, or Sparrow, was established at Delancey Park, early on in the occupation. Its location suited it well as a harbour blocking battery, coordinating with the batteries Georgsfeste and Naumanshöhe. The four casemates constructed here to house the 10cm howitzers are actually Vf varients of the type 671. The casemates were then connected by a covered trench, which was extended to a Vf observation post on the eastern extremities of the site. Works here were expansive and continued until at least 1944. The site was backfilled post war, but all of the casemates are visible inside the park, and one is used for storage. Several shelters survive in adjacent properties.z
