The tower at Pleinmont was constructed in 1942, and designated Marine Peilstand 3. Each of the 5 floors of the tower served a different Naval Batterie. There were plans for 11 of these towers, to distinguish between ships. However, construction on the 6th never began after it was found to be flawed. The bunker is found approximately 1km away from Batterie Dollmann and MP4. In 1990 the owners of the tower sold it for agriculture, luckily it was found to have infringed a purchase agreement and the tower was purchased by the Occupation Museum in 1991 and restoration began. The tower is now fully restored and regularly open as a museum. It is interesting to note that the tower is very similar to the now demolished MP1 at Chouet.
