The tower at Pleinmont was constructed in 1942, and designated MP3. Each of the 5 floors of the tower served a different navy battery. There were plans for 11 of these towers, however, construction on the 6th never began after the concept was found to be flawed. The bunker is found approximately 1km away from Batterie Dollmann and MP4. In 1990 the owners of the tower sold the land for agriculture, luckily it was found to have infringed a purchase agreement and the tower was purchased by the Occupation Museum in 1991 and restoration began. The tower is now fully restored and regularly open as a museum. It is interesting to note that the tower is very similar to the now demolished MP1 at Chouet.
