Wn. Perleberg is found overlooking Perelle, towards Fort Richmond (Stp. Reichberg) It comprises of a mix of RFO Shelters, emplacements and observation. Many lie on private land, but remains are visible from roadside. The site is an unusual mix between an infantry resistance nest and a Luftwaffe battery.

A Vf1b is located on the inland portion of this Wn. It is unique as it features its original blast door, still itact. Apart from this however, it is badly damaged by fire.
One of the two entrances to the buried Vf1b.
The other entrance is exposed. The retaining walls are constructed from granite setts on this side.
The single room for 6 infantry personnel. It has been badly damaged by fire. A blast-proof door is visible here.
This bunker is one of the rarest on the Atlanticwall. It is one of two L414a that were constructed, the other being at Batterie Gabelsberg. This example is the only right-handed one, the other being a left-handed example. This is in much cleaner condition as well, allowing it to be documented much more meticulously. The bunker features an integrated Tobruk, gasproof door, a large entrance defence plate, entrance defence room/munition storage and a gun room. It mounted either a 5cm Kwk or a 2cm Flak, the latter being the official armament published for this bunker.
This is one of two L414a located on the Atlantikwall. It is an unusual design. On the left is the entrance to the integrated Tobruk and on the right is the main entrance. The concrete lip made by the Tobruk is visible between the two doors in an opening in the undergrowth.
Guttering above the door.
A perfect Tobruk. Speaking tube is visible on the left.
Greeted by a large entrance defence plate.
It features a gas-proof 'barn' type door at a right-angle to the main entrance, designed to reduce the effects of a bomb blast.
This large plate is an unusual design. It is still loose and can be shut.
Observation slit behind this smaller plate.
The gun room. This type mounted either a 5cm Kwk or 2cm Flak (The latter being the official armament for this type.) The armoured plates would protect the flank of the weapon from light arms fire.
Close up on the mount.
This intact plate is a mess of smaller pieces welded together.
Inside the entrance-defence room. On the right is a niche for munition or equipment. Visible under the graffiti on the far wall is the speaking tube to the Tobruk.
Entrance is the closest one, behind it is the integrated Tobruk again. We are walking around to view this bunkers Scharte.
At the time this photo was taken vegetation had obscured the forward profile of the bunker.
This bunker seen from the road. The embrasure is also covered by a gutter.
Fully cleared. November 9th 2024. The bunker is now closed. Unique stepping on the blast-wall is clearly visible.
