The L414a was a Luftwaffe design to house 2cm Flak. It had a sister design, type L415a for 3.7cm Flak, although there are no known examples of the latter. The L414a was constructed twice overall, with both being on Guernsey. One example is located at Wn. Perleberg covering the bay, and was likely modified to house a 5cm KwK, as some armored plates were removed from the embrasure to widen it and increase the height. This example is no longer accessible, and we cannot publish interior photos. The second was constructed at Flak Batterie Gabelsberg, covering La Grande Mare, and today this also remains inaccessible and lies on private land, but structurally is in very good condition.
